Daily routine, baths, & fresh air breaks have been pinnacle to my self-care. Morning gratitude lists, journaling, and art projects provided a lovely creative distraction.
We are taking daily walks through the wetlands and giving our minds and bodies regular breaks from behind screens. Enjoying preparing and eating health meals. Practicing mindfulness and mediation. Gardening and caring for pets. Staying connected with family and friends though groups chats, photos, facetime and even some old fashioned letters.
Walk briskly, breathe deeply, slow down, be kind, keep talking, indulge a little, love a lot, eat well, lie in, let it go, get creative ☺️
My top tip for lockdown is to be kind to yourself. It might be a tough day, it might be an ok day or it might be a good day but try see the positives in your life.
